INSTALLATION
KERAMAT CONNECTING SOCKET C

1. DRILLING THE BOREHOLE

Use a diamond drill bit to drill a circular hole at a right angle with and central to the pipe axis. Remove the drill core, deburr the borehole, clean, and check everything is correct.

Borehole diameter: DN 150: 200 +1/-0 mm

2. APPLYING THE KERAMAT LUBRICATING AGENT

Apply the Keramat lubricating agent evenly over the borehole surface and the elastomer shaft seal.

3. FITTING CONNECTING SOCKET C

Align connecting socket C (see direction of arrow on the seal) in the direction of flow; place over the borehole. First push the lower part of the socket into the hole and then press the upper half firmly into place. Use the Keramat assembly tool to complete the fitting procedure, taking care to ensure that the seal spreads evenly around the hole. To do this, insert the assembly tool into connecting socket C, lock the cross-strut in the direction of flow, and fit the connecting socket tightly into place in the borehole by turning the star handle. Release the quick-adjustment mechanism, fold back the cross-strut and withdraw the assembly tool from the connecting socket.

4. CHECKING FOR CORRECT ASSEMBLY

Check the external and internal position of connecting socket C for the even seat of the collar seal on the main pipe. The socket must not protrude into the main pipe and must be evenly positioned in the borehole with the seal forming a tight fit.
